This weekend I had the luxury of stepping back, taking a look and realising how much I really do love M. Also how much I want to be with him for the rest of our lives. In all the whirlwind of wedding planning I think I have been lapse in my appreciation of this fact.
I know what you mean, it is very easy to forget what the main reason for getting married is. It's good to have a non wedding night or a non wedding week and do things that aren't wedding related and don't talk about the wedding at all if you can help it. There was a stage were all I spoke about to hubby to be was the wedding and he got very quickly annoyed with that. I've learnt now to only mention the important things and its made our relationship so much better. And it's helpful for you too. I've had pretty much a wedding free couple of days and I feel better for it myself too. Apart from reading the vogue forums or looking at my blog list, thats all i've done and I feel better for it :)
ReplyDeleteM said the other day that we need to wind down (we being me) the wedding talk as he doesn't want a crazy bride.
Deleteover the last weekend we only spoke about it a little bit ie to let M know I had paid some deposits!
Well done! Haha it isn't easy though, cause there are all the little things that you want to share. That's why i've found that my blog has been good for that too. I can write it out or rant it and send it to the internet world instead of annoying FH with it.
DeleteWhat a sweet post xx
