So, I'm day dreaming and overloading my blog with travel photos. We went to Europe in 2009 for 6 weeks. First stop was England.  We were there for 24 hours before taking off on our Topdeck tour.

After the tour around Europe we came back to London for another week before going to Malta. In that week it only rained once. When we were in the London Eye.

Day dreaming

So, I'm off work with tonsillitis and general feeling of grossness. Along with the non stop rain that is happening at the moment I am starting to day dream of warm and exciting places far far away. 

We have so far been to Bali, England, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Malta, Dubai and New Zealand. 

I finished uni and decided that I had studied enough. My professions job prospects had been dire and I wasn't expecting job vacancies to come up until March. So we booked to go to Bali. I applied for a few jobs before hand, one being in Wollongong and thought nothing of it. I got a call for an interview to be scheduled right in the middle of our trip and I was basically told that if I did a phone interview I wouldn't be getting the job. So after scrambling to the travel agent to see how much money we would lose (all of it) I resigned to the fact that I would go on my holiday and do a phone interview. At the last minute they agreed to schedule my interview on a different day , the day before we left for Bali. The interview was only supposed to be 15 minutes and it went for 1.5 hours because it was quite informal  and relaxed and they even gave me the option of doing the set interview or chatting ( I did the set interview and aced it) After all that drama we got on a plane.

Cartharsis

So, I started this blog as an aid for catharsis. A lovely word I learnt during psychology or sociology. It pretty much is likened to punching a wall to cure your frustrations.

I have pretty much spent the last day and a bit in tears because my plans have turned from nice happy moving day to interfering infuriating in-laws and me now moving back home with my mum and brothers. :( I wont go into everything but I hate being treated like a child and I very much need a hug :( which I will get from M. Obviously now not every night and not whenever we want. I cant wait until we buy a place and I can dictate who does what , when and how.

FRIDAY + technology

So, yesterday M and I had the day off together. He gets two Fridays off a month in exchange for working a Sunday and I get 1 day off a fortnight depending on what section I am working in and when or machines need a service.

We had to put down two weeks rent for our new place then I had an appointment at the skin cancer clinic. I have some suspicious moles on my back which I now know are all fine now which is great. In my job I see the worse case scenarios of melanoma and combined with that ad about Wes the 26 year old who died of melanoma, I had a small case of paranoia. Proves that the advertising is working I guess. 

I have also started packing. :( I have soooo much stuff. M is playing cricket today and working tomorrow so I have the whole two days to myself to attack some of it. Really I only have two more weekends to do it :( My next day off is actually my birthday so I am planning on pampering not packing.

Once we had a bit of that done we went to the beach. I have been there a few times this week because summer has seen the looming autumn deadline and has decided to kind of get its act together. I have been playing with the features on my phone. Here are the products.

THE NEXT STEP

So, I tend to procrastinate a fair bit right up until crunch time and most of the time I manage to look like I have been organised the whole time.... hopefully with the wedding I am better than that.

This round of organisation however I needed to find a place to live. So I saw a place on Tuesday, got my junk together ie ID , rental ledgers etc. I made M get his together ,sent in my application at 12:30 today and had it approved by 3 :D

So we move in together on the 17th March. THAT is one busy weekend. I am now moving, I have my first house mate's hens night and then a farewell in the Northern Beaches for my work husband who is leaving to live in London. :(   I will need a sleep that weekend somewhere!

Anyway that is a bit of an update. I am looking around and seeing all the things that I need to pack up because aside from a couch and her room P doesn't have any furniture. So it is all mine :(

Mr Postman send me a dream

So, work is changing it up a bit. Firstly, we are there fore half an hour less. woo. However in order to do that, they cut the lunch break in half :(. The advantage and probably the point of this point is that I didn't have to be at work until 10. I was able to go to the post office to collect some packages that I have gotten notices for. 

One was my professional accreditation that I need to keep on working . The second was my Oasis Posy holders from ebay. It only cost $20 and I got 6 posy holders. I am planning on doing my own flowers for the weekend. A claim that one of my bridesmaids have looked at me and said that we definitely have to do a practice for. 

There are many youtube videos saying this will be easy. I just have to pretty up the holder part of them with some pretty ribbon and bobs your wedding flowers!

The other thing that came in the mail the other day and that I posted about was my Garter...M if you are reading this PUHHHHLEAAAASE dont click on the link. :D

Wedding Cars

So, we went to have a look at wedding cars.  We are going to go with Darling Rose Classics. We had a look at their show room on Thursday night.

It cost a little bit more than I thought and I did my mandatory freak out about the cost of the wedding but it is all ok when I break it all down. 

In other news, my house mate who has been A.W.O.L  since new years (aside from work , I work with her) has announced she is moving out at the end of March. So, as she moves in with her boyfriend of 8 weeks, M and I had to have that conversation about moving in together. . . . . . 

AND it is going to happen! I can't wait. It will be a huge learning curve for the both of us.I hate moving but this will be a monumental moving day and as I said I cant wait!

OH ETA: My  Garter I blogged about the other day arrived from etsy! YAY! it is so pretty and I tried it on.... not sure if that is traditionally allowed but it looked pretty! Anyway, that is all for today.
